Packaging insights for an emerging brand
Opportunity:
An emerging plant-based food brand was seeking to change is identity and packaging to better connect with consumers and grow share.
Approach:
Linkage identified and executed a hybrid qualitative and quantitative approach to deliver robust consumer insights, on a quick timing and a limited budget. 1-on-1 Skype interviews were set up to quickly get feedback on the package design concepts. This feedback was used to strengthen the lead packaging concept which was then tested in an online screen versus the existing packaging.
Impact:
Consumers rated the new packaging higher than existing packaging and the company was able to leverage the quantitative shopper insights data collected to secure incremental shelf space.
